COVID-19 and
Your Sexual Health
The answer is complicated
As you probably know by now, COVID-19 is an illness caused by a virus that spreads via respiratory droplets when an infected person coughs, sneezes, or talks. Since these droplets may be produced during exertion, heavy breathing, or contact with saliva, sexual activity may increase your risk of getting or passing COVID-19.
Getting vaccinated is by far the best way to reduce your risk of getting COVID-19 during sex. But if you or your partner aren’t vaccinated, there are still ways to reduce the risk of getting or passing COVID-19.
