COVID-19 and
Your Sexual Health
The answer is complicated
COVID-19 is an illness caused by a new type of virus that spreads through respiratory droplets when an infected person coughs, sneezes, or talks. The fact that it’s a new virus means we’re still learning a lot about it.
While traces of the virus have been found in semen and feces, there is no evidence that you can get COVID-19 from anal or vaginal sex. But since it’s practically impossible to keep at least six feet apart during any type of physical intimacy, you could become infected by kissing or just being face-to-face with a partner who has COVID-19.
